Currently CEO of Vaughan & Co. Securities, Inc., Jim has been with the firm since 1986. Jim is Chairman of the Vaughan & Co. Securities, Inc. Investment Committee. We maintain relationships with approximately 120 families and manage about $200 million of their assets. Jim was a partner in the Law Firm of Vaughan & Vaughan from 1984 to 1992.
As an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Jim teaches estate planning in the CFP Certificate Program.
Jim has been married for more than 35 years, has four children who have graduated from college, and lives in the area. He ran the 2013 ING NYC Marathon for the benefit of the Children's Tumor Foundation.
Jim is a 1980 graduate of Georgetown University with a degree in economics, and he earned a law degree from Seton Hall School of Law in 1983. He is a member of the Bar of the State of NJ and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. He also holds a CFP designation from the College for Financial Planning, Denver, CO. He holds FINRA Series 7, Series 24, and Series 4 licenses.
James D. Vaughan, Jr. (Founding Principal)
Jim, the Founding Principal of Vaughan & Co. Securities, Inc., established the firm in 1986. He is a graduate of Georgetown University, Washington, DC, class of 1956 with a degree in economics. He attained a Juris Doctor law degree from Seton Hall Law School in 1984. He also holds a CLU designation from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.
Jim has been married for 60 plus years, has 8 children, 21 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild (so far).
Nicole Nittoli (Client Services Manager)
Nicole, our client services manager, handles all client relations and services. Nicole has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years. She is licensed as a registered representative. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Magna Cum Laude in 1994 with a BS in management and then earned her MBA in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1996. Nicole is married and has two children.
Robert Jenkins (Chief Technology Officer)
Bob is the president of Pension Administrators, Inc. and has been with the Vaughan Group of companies since 1976. He is the chief information officer of Vaughan & Co. Securities, Inc., responsible for all actuarial, computer and information services. He is the co-creator of the copyrighted systems "Retirement Income Analysis,” "Simply Put," and the "Vaughan Organizer,” as well as all Pension Administrators, Inc. programs. In addition, he is the co-designer and co-investment manager of the Vaughan Dividend Growth Program and is systems coordinator of the Asset Allocation Program (AAP).
Bob graduated in 1976 from Bucknell University with a BS degree in business administration.
He has been married for over 30 years and has two adult sons, one a salesman for a cloud-based healthcare company, and the other recently returned to the U.S. after a 27-month stint as a Peace Corps volunteer in Rwanda.
For years, he and his family hosted children in conjunction with the Fresh Air Fund of NY, and also raised Seeing Eye Puppies for the Morristown Seeing Eye. Currently, his family has turned their attention to the plight of abused and neglected animals, working with Tri-State Basset Rescue and also PetResQ Inc. of Tenafly, continuously fostering and socializing their four-legged pals for eventual adoption by loving families.
Bob and his wife are also "backyard" beekeepers, and Bob is an officer in the Northeast NJ Beekeeper association, a group dedicated to supporting beekeeping as an integral part of the ecological system and also educating the public to the importance of protecting the honeybee.
